Rodrigo Quian Quiroga
Rodrigo Quian Quiroga is a Neuroscientist and former Director of the Centre for Systems Neuroscience at the University of Leicester, UK. He is currently an ICREA Professor at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM) in Barcelona. Rodrigo uses single cell recordings from intracranial electrodes implanted in human patients to study the principles of neural coding, visual perception and memory. Together with colleagues at Caltech and UCLA, Rodrigo discovered what has been named the “Jennifer Aniston neuron”’. Rodrigo is also the author of Borges and Memory, Principles of Neural Coding, Imaging Brain Function with EEG, and The Forgetting Machine.
