Matt Brown
Matt Brown is the writer & director of The Man Who Knew Infinity starring Dev Patel, Jeremy Irons, Devika Bhise, Stephen Fry, and Toby Jones. The film was released domestically by IFC, and was produced by Edward R. Pressman of Pressman Film. It is the true story of a friendship that forever changed mathematics. In 1913, Ramanujan (Patel), a self-taught Indian mathematician traveled to Trinity College, Cambridge, where he forged a bond with his mentor, the brilliant, eccentric professor GH Hardy (Irons), and fought against prejudice to reveal his mathematic genius to the world. Brown has been a script consultant for many top directors and recently adapted the Ian Fleming biopic, which chronicles the years that inspired Fleming to create the iconic James Bond character. Brown also wrote London Town directed by Derrick Borte (The Jonses) and starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, which premiered at the LA Film Festival in 2016. The film was produced by Sofia Sondervan. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Brown graduated from Trinity College.
