Chad Jenkins
Odest Chadwicke Jenkins is the Associate Director of Undergraduate Program and Associate Professor, Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan. He explores human-robot interaction and robot learning with the goal of creating autonomous systems that can collaborate with humans in real-world tasks. He received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers for his work in physics-based human tracking from video. He has also received awards from the Office of Naval Research, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and National Science Foundation for his work on different kinds of robot learning. His recent research explores web-scale robot learning and seeks to expand public accessibility to high-tech robots.
