Carl Zimmer
Carl Zimmer is an award-winning columnist for the New York Times and the author of 13 books about science. His newest book is She Has Her Mother’s Laugh: The Powers, Perversions, and Potential of Heredity. Zimmer’s reporting has earned awards from the National Academies of Science, the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences, and the Online Journalism Association. In 2016, he won the Stephen Jay Gould Prize from the Society for the Study of Evolution. Zimmer is professor adjunct in Yale’s Department of Biophysics and Biochemistry, where he teaches writing.
