Andrew W. Lo
Andrew W. Lo is a professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management, the director of MIT’s Laboratory for Financial Engineering, a principal investigator at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab, and an affiliated faculty member of the MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. An authority on hedge funds and financial engineering, he proposed applying evolution to financial markets. Lo has published numerous articles in finance and economics journals and authored several books, including The Econometrics of Financial Markets and A Non-Random Walk Down Wall Street. His research interests include evolutionary models of human behavior and developing new financial models for funding translational medicine.
