Leila YavariDirector of Development

Leila Yavari is the Director of Development at the World Science Foundation. She helped build, lead, and internationalize one of the leading luxury online fashion retailers in Europe and pivoted to a career in nonprofit management and fundraising in 2016. With well over a decade of global leadership experience, she has demonstrated a keen ability to identify and steward individual donor relationships and institutional and corporate funding partnerships to incite meaningful action. She speaks multiple languages and brings a diverse network of philanthropists and strategic partners to the table. She received her Master’s Degree in Political Science at the University of California Berkeley and wrote her thesis on subversive art practice in The Islamic Republic of Iran, based on extensive field work.
