The 2018 World Science Festival featured 70+ events, gathering great minds in science and art throughout New York City. We honored the trailblazing women in science who have transformed our world. Over 200 participants tackled some of science’s toughest questions through main stage discussions and intimate salons. We announced the winners of the prestigious Kavli Prize and met award-winning authors. An Astronaut took the stage to discuss alien life and we shed new light on black holes. Girls had the chance to tour women-run labs, and working biologists counted fish throughout the New York waterways with students. We explored the science of cooking, uncovered the mystery of absinthe, and so much more.
All of this was made possible thanks to a long list of incredible World Science Festival partners, sponsors, members, participants, volunteers, and the incredible community of people who joined us in person in New York and online around the globe. Thank you!
