How do emotions influence the way your brain learns? If you associate visiting a friend with the smell of her freshly baked cinnabons, what happens if the friend stops baking them? Do you still expect the sweet smell when you visit anyway? Neuroscientist Alexandra Cohen will work with you to devise an olfactory experiment that will highlight how our brains learn about the sweet things in life using pleasant smells.
Note: Students will be exposed to and smelling a variety of scents.
This is a student-only program for kids currently enrolled in the 4th grade – 8th grade. Parents/Guardians should drop off their children for this event.
