Forensic Scientist’s Apprentice

Saturday, June 4, 2016
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Cracking a case takes more than just gut intuition: it takes science. Uncover a body of evidence with John Jay College of Criminal Justice forensic scientist Linda Rourke. Up-and-coming sleuths will identify a substance left at a “crime scene,” take and analyze fingerprints, and even extract DNA (from their saliva). The session culminates in a tour of a working forensics lab for an up-close look at the tools used to solve crimes every day.

Note: This is a student-only program for kids in the 4th-6th grade. Parents/Guardians should drop off their children for this one-hour event.

Supported by the Bezos Family Foundation.
