Dean Buonomano

Neuroscientist

Dean Buonomano is a neuroscientist in the Departments of Neurobiology and Psychology, and a member of the Brain Research Institute and the Integrative Center for Learning and Memory at UCLA. He is a leading researcher on how the brain tells time and neurocomputation. His latest book is Your Brain is a Time Machine: The Neuroscience and Physics of Time. His previous book, Brain Bugs: How the Brain’s Flaws Shape Our Lives, was a Wall Street Journal bestseller. His research and popular science books have been covered in The New York Times, Discover Magazine, Scientific American, New Scientist, The Wall Street Journal, and on Fresh Air (NPR).
